Okanagan Strata Management is committed to protecting your personal information and keeping it secure. We only collect the information that is necessarily required to conduct our business, and defined by the various laws and statutes that govern our industry. - To meet our obligation to follow the relevant legislations
- To allow us to process payments
- To manage our responsibilities to our clients
- To ensure that we can respond to emergencies
- To enable us to establish eligibility for tenancy and credit worthiness
Except for the personal information that we must collect, use or disclose on behalf of our clients as per any legal requirements, we will ensure that we have received the appropriate consents from you before collecting, using or disclosing your information. Once you cease to be a client (or tenant), we will take measures to destroy your personal information that we have previously collected, with the exception of any records that we are required by any legislation to keep.
We will ensure that we keep your personal information confidential and will only disclose it where permitted by the legislation, or with your personal authorization. Our offices are secure and our electronic storage is protected from access to unauthorized persons. We have, and continue to invest heavily on our security to ensure that we are fully compliant with the storage of your personal information.
Please contact our office if you wish to change or update any personal information that we have previously collected. This allows us to contact you for any administrative reasons and give you the best possible service.
You may choose to withdraw any consent for the collection of personal information by writing to the Privacy Officer with 20 days advance notice. However, you may not withdraw this consent for any personal information that is required to be collected or permitted to be collected without your consent, under any legislation.
Access to your personal information can be obtained by putting your request in writing to the Privacy Officer. You should give as much detail in your request so that we have the information to allow us to respond to you. Information that you receive may be redacted (if required by law or legislation) where any portions of requested documentation compromises the personal information of another person, is confidential commercial information or is privileged legal information or an opinion.
If you have a comment or complaint about our policy or procedures, please contact the Privacy Officer in writing in the first instance. The Privacy Officer will investigate your concern and respond back to you. In the event that your communication highlights a concern, we will take immediate steps to rectify.
Personal information inputted by owners on this website for registration, may be used by Okanagan Strata Management for the purposes of identifying and communicating with the owner, including emergency response, strata corporation management and administration, and complying with legal requirements. By completing any registration forms from this website, it is hereby understood that you authorize Okanagan Strata Management to collect, use and disclose the personal information for these purposes.
